These days we’re often over-stressed due to the busy, fast paced lives we lead. There’s always demands on our time. It’s important, therefore, to maintain a good work life balance. Although, this is often talked about and we know its importance, many of us are still neglecting a good balance and letting work take over. Here are our top tips to start addressing a better equilibrium:
1. Leave work at work
Turn emails off on your phone (or never activate them in the first place), leave the laptop at work and enjoy time with your family and friends.
2. Join a sports club
It’s a good way to unwind after a stressful day and also a good way to forge strong social bonds.
3. Make sure you take your annual leave
These days some people feel guilty about taking annual leave, fearing that they may be oestracized by colleagues or bosses. This is nonsense, of course. But, sometimes it can feel like you’re letting the team down by being away. Good communication and making sure your assignments are finished before going away can make sure you truly relax whilst on vacation.
